13. Wednesday, 30 Sep, 2015 07:00pm – 09:30pm – Nanyang Business School Focus Point: Transforming into a Knowledge Ready Organisation – Realising the Value of Knowledge for Work
Ever since Peter Drucker coined the term “knowledge worker” in 1969, the modern organisation has been in-waiting for this worker; the committed employee who would know what to do, when to do it, and certainly, how to do it, even when the situation rapidly changes. Yet as increased complexity, growing uncertainty and unpredictability engulf organisations, and as they struggle to remain competitive, Knowledge Management (KM) efforts quickly fade away and die. The need to tap into trends and patterns (Big Data and Analytics), finding what one needs (Retrieval and Search), whom one needs to know (Channels, Networks, and Communities), and whom one needs to learn from (Tacit Knowledge), remains critical in organisations. Join us for an engaging workshop where Dr Karuna Ramanathan will draw from his extensive experience in KM, leadership, and organisational development to unfold how your organisations can become knowledge ready.
Venue: Capital Tower, FTSE Room (Level 9), 168 Robinson Road, Singapore 068912

Cost: $28 NBS/NTU Alumni; $40 CFA/DUAL members; $48 Guest
