We’ve had a marvelous spring and summer following the Charter Day Fiesta celebration at Hombre Cantina in April where more than 70 alumni attended and another great annual satay party last month seeing 50 freshmen, students and alumni come by to send-off the new batch of very promising students. 1. CORNELL SESQUICENTENNIAL CHARTER DAY CELEBRATIONS
Mark your calendar and lend your support when Charter Day comes along April 25 or 26th this year. We’re joining in the global celebrations with something special planned that weekend.
If you’d like to come and would like to help out on our Charter Day Committee, do drop me an email (sonia.ong@gmail.com) and I’ll keep you in the loop while we put this top secret event together.

2.CORNELL CARES FOR THE FOOD BANK SINGAPORE UPDATE
Our turnout exceeded the Food Bank’s expectations and current needs at the Cornell Cares Food Bank Volunteer event this past January. Volunteers took inventory of hundreds of donated food items and organised them in preparation for dissemination to food service centers.

Happy National Day this month.

The Cornell Club Singapore held its Annual Satay Party on 27 July 2014 to send off the new batch of 2018. The event brought together 50 members of the Cornell community including incoming freshmen, students, alumni, parents and young children too! ANNUAL SATAY SEND-OFF PARTY AND OLD CAMERA DONATION DRIVE
Dear Alumni and Friends,
In case you missed the first message, next Sunday 27 July, 4pm, Amber Residences Function Room, we hold our annual satay party and new student send-off again!
This year, pop in with a few beers and make a new friend! You’re also welcome to participate in the Cornell Cares Camera Donation Drive happening at the same time and place if you have a good old camera lying around that can improve the life of an underprivileged young person.
