CORNELL CARES UPDATES-BOOK DRIVE FILLS TWO CARLOADS
We start off the lunar new year with feel-good updates from our Cornell Cares Singapore Events held in January. The Cornell Cares Book Drive was a big success and saw us collecting 400+ very good books from every genre from our club and beyond. A big thank you to all contributors. The books will soon be on their way to an orphanage in the Philippines via the Love the Children Foundation, the final beneficiary. I am also pleased to note that we made $200 from our ACRES fundraising party and even had extras from the buffet to give to the Masjid Jamae Queenstown Soup kitchen in aid of Bangladeshi workers.
